With a fascinating history dating back to 3,000 BC, there are so many facets to life in ancient Egypt that it is possible to dedicate an entire livelihood to uncovering its secrets. Well ahead of its time in the ancient world, the Egyptian civilization was one of the most advanced. Evidence of their remarkable achievements in architecture and design still stand strong in the modern world, attracting millions of visitors to Egypt each year.

Visa & Vaccinations
VISA Yes, U.S. citizens must have a visa to enter Egypt. U.S. citizens can obtain a renewable single-entry 30-day tourist visa on arrival at Egyptian airports or you can apply for an eVisa here https://visa2egypt.gov.eg/eVisa/Home
Vaccinations are not required
The official currency in Egypt is the Egyptian pound. Hotels and some stores accept credit cards (Visa or MasterCard only). However, for “street shopping” you will need local currency or U.S. Dollars.
Egypt generally has a warm and hot weather with cooler nights. There are 2 seasons in Egypt, winter which is from November to April and summer from May to October. Average temperature during winter ranges from 60’s to 80’s while in summer, average temperature will be from 80’s to 90’s.

Day 1 - Arrival, Welcome to Egypt!
Welcome to Cairo!
You will be met at Cairo International Airport and then transported your hotel by private vehicle.
At hotel the tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your holiday itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour and Overnight in Cairo.
DAY 2 Pyramids
Your first full day in Egypt! Today you'll have an exciting full-day excursion in Egypt with a local guide.
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll spend the day visiting the world-renowned pyramids (Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure), which are located in the necropolis of Giza.
The pyramids and the Sphinx are considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and are one of the first images that come to mind when you think of Egypt, and you'll experience them for yourself, along with the enigmatic Sphinx.
DAY 3 Egyptian Museum
Today you will have a full-day experience touring the Egyptian Museum. The richest museum of Egyptian antiques in the world, it contains pharaonic treasures dating more than 5,000 years old. The building contains massive exhibits, including colossal statues of Ramses II.
No visit to Egypt is complete without discovering the collection of rare jewelry and treasures of Tutankhamun.
If you wish, you can visit The Royal Mummies Room, too.
Return to your hotel and freshen up. Then, transfer to Giza for an evening sound & light show concert near the pyramids. Following the show, return to your hotel in Cairo.
DAY 4 -7 Nile Cruise
After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport to catch a short flight from Cairo to Luxor. Once you arrive in Luxor, you will make your way to your Nile cruise ship where you will be spending the next few nights.
Day 4 you will visit the sights in East Bank of Luxor / Karnak & Luxor Temples
Day 5 you will visit the sights in sights in West Bank of Luxor / Valley of the Kings, Queens, Colossi of Memnon and Hatshepsut Temple
Day 6 you will visit the temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo
Day 7 you will visit Aswan High Dam, and Philae Temple
DAY 8 Abu Simbel
After breakfast, we will head off for a full day's journey to Abu Simbel!
You will have an early morning start with a boxed breakfast as you make your way to Abu Simbel to see these majestic temples…the Temple of Ramses II, and the Temple of Nefertari.
Built as royal tombs, the Great Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Hathor are some of Egypt’s best known archeological sites. Step past the enormous sandstone statues carved into the temple facades, and explore the interiors, which are decorated with art and hieroglyphics.
DAY 9- Old Cairo & Market
This will be your final full day in Egypt. To complete your visit in Cairo you will visit the massive, medieval Salah El-din Citadel and Mohamed Ali Alabaster mosque where you will be able to explore this ancient fortress and its domed ceilings, suspended lights, and striking views of Cairo.
Continue the exploration by visiting the Old Cairo churches, and then move to the Khan El Khalili old market.
No trip to Cairo would be complete without a visit to Khan Al-Khalili. The bazaar is loud, crowded, colorful, and exciting—full of all kinds of goods and shiny baubles. You can find the typical tourist trinkets here, but don’t let them distract you from the genuinely fine shopping to be found here.
After the tour, enjoy your final night in Cairo at your leisure
DAY 10 Departure Day
It's time to say goodbye to Egypt!
Enjoy your morning breakfast then check out of your hotel and make your way to the airport in Cairo.
